Catholics join fellow Christians and people of good will around the world in prayer and good works during the ecumenical Season of Creation (Sept. 1-Oct. 4). We present our second annual Prayer for the Earth on the feast of Saint Francis of Assisi to express a spirit of penance for the harms we have caused to God's creation; and a spirit of hope that we can live into an ecological conversion to protect and defend our Sister Mother Earth and renew the well-being of our common home. This is a multisensory, bilingual, and intergenerational prayer service involving multiple ministries of the parish. Our theme is "We Are All Connected: Cry of the Earth and Cry of the Poor." Please contact Janet Kraus, janetkraus2@gmail.com, to find out how you can participate in the prayer service. We thank the folk music ministry and youth group for their support.
