The parish and community joined together prayerfully on Sunday, Jan. 19, to honor the life of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with meditations on equality, unity, and love. The Gospel of Jesus calls us to a revolutionary love-ethic that permits no exclusion of our neighbors. Over a community potluck meal we talked about our own dreams for a better world and more just society. From this event both the parish and community will launch reflection groups to learn from our history and move toward a future where we overcome racism, white supremacy, and inequality.
