he Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) program at the Church of the Good Shepherd is to welcome you into or complete your entrance into the Catholic Church by reception of one or more of the Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation and the Eucharist. With the assistance and guidance of the parish RCIA team, you will accomplish this by learning about the teachings and practices of the Catholic faith and how to apply them in your daily life. RCIA is an enriching process, and you can expect to put a significant amount of work into making it a memorable conversion experience which will be one of the highlights of your life.
At the present time we have three RCIA classes available so you can select the class which best fits your schedule starting Monday, the week of September 16, 2019:

Requirements
Participants in the RCIA program are asked to provide recent (six months or less) certificates of all sacraments that they have received. These will be due at the beginning of the program.
Participants are expected to attend Mass every Sunday. Attendance at Mass and classes are important because they contribute to the full-immersion experience into the faith life of the Church and the program. Unexcused absences from Mass and classes indicate a lack of interest in the RCIA program and readiness to receive the Sacraments of Initiation.
Registration
Our program at Good Shepherd Parish is led by a dedicated team who will help guide you through your faith journey. Any adult in the Parish who would like more information about participating in this year's Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults should call the parish office (212-567-1300) and leave your name and telephone number.
